-Ate plenty of good food (Sonic--although it was weird to eat it and not be in Oklahoma, tomato soup with grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches, Max & Erma's, lasagna, and an amazing brownie a la mode with Graeter's ice cream)
-Held my friend's now five day old baby girl
-Played Wii for the first time, which was quite fun especially since I only played for about a minute
-Took cookies to police and fire stations as part of a churchwide service project
-Saw one of my roommates from Ohio State with her cute pregnant belly (as well as her husband and their two dogs)
-Got a start on my dishes for once I get out on my own thanks to the fantastic
mustafear; I now have mugs in cobalt, turquoise, peacock and plum with the promise of rounding out those place settings
-Nearly won a nerf bocce ball tournament
-Got plenty of cuddle time with my favorite four year old and miniature schnauzer
-Thankfully avoided having one of the numerous lectures on pollution the very smart seven year old gave directed at me
-Played video games with the boys
-Had an awesome time that was totally worth the better part of a gas tank with prices as high as they are right now

-lunch and dessert at the Cheesecake Factory (but not nearly as great as it used to be back in the day of date nights with Emily)
-sending off one job application and getting started on two others
-downloading the new version of Office for Mac for free from IU (and by free, I mean by paying thousands of dollars in tuition); it's got all the cool new features with it, too... now if only I knew how to use them all
-talking to a member of a family I've known all my life but haven't seen in a long time
-getting invited to a women's ministry planning retreat next month
What five good things happened to you today?

Saturday:
Sunday:
Monday:
- Christmas gathering with my Mom's side of the family
- Moved half of my stuff back home
Sunday:
- Cleaned my room and found seventy dollars
- Used newly found money to buy my first cashmere sweater at Old Navy for $40
Monday:
- Went to Bloomington to pick up the rest of my stuff and see my cousin and her boyfriend
- Held babies
- Attended my favorite church service of the year
- Had the traditional Pseudo-Family Christmas Eve gathering
- Found out that after 20 years, one of my pseudo-moms doesn't always remember how to correctly spell my name
- Got a Star Wars daily calendar with lots of pretty pictures that are begging to be made into icons
- Opened presents
- Saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets which was entertaining
- Drove to Ohio to hang out with my former roommate
- Drove forty miles in ninety minutes (Cincy rush hour sucks) to hang out with
mustafear for a couple of days - Played Star Wars Lego for the Prequel trilogy, which is incredibly inferior for Lego Star Wars II
- Went to the Gap clearance out and purchased five dress shirts and two sweaters for a nickel (thanks to my cousin and grandparents for giving me gift cards that covered the remaining fifty-five dollars)
- Had a mini-photoshoot with the boys, their Christmas tree, and their lightsabers
- Ran around town some more
- Was grateful for not having to drive
- Got beat at Monopoly by a seven-year-old
- Watched the BSG mini-series and "33" (sidenote: is it time for season 4 to start yet? or at least buy season 3 on DVD?)
- Drove home with taking my first overnight trip to Z's without it being official (those who have been there know what this means)
- Attended a pseudo-brother's wedding
- Watched The Prestige, which was an interesting movie that I almost had fully figured out (which is good for me)
- Saw the top 20 of AFI's most recent Top 100 films
- Slept in
- Unpacked all but Bertha (my stinking huge suitcase)
- Tried to go to B-Dubs (Buffalo Wild Wings) to watch the IU game on the stupid Big Ten Network with my Dad, but a lot of other people had the same idea
- Instead got wings from another place and flipped between the Giants' valiant effort to take down the Pats and the first National Treasure movie
- Finally updated the blog
- Started freaking out about student teaching, which starts a week from tomorrow
- Had dinner at Stir Crazy, which was okay, but the company (one of my Stephanies) was a big boost
- Found out after living here for 20 years that the mall closes at 6pm on Sundays
- Browsed in Barnes and Noble for over an hour without spending any money
- Saw Charlie Wilson's War which, like the other Mike Nichols' movie I saw, left me feeling like I wasn't quite intelligent enough to watch his movies (the acting was great, I just don't get really excited with the vibe of his movies)

I'm still alive. Just been really busy. I've been doing a lot of work (both at work and research for my term papers and projects whose deadlines are approaching rapidly). I've also been procrastinating with socialization. Monday night after work I went to a nice and quiet bar with Trent and Kendra from work. Then yesterday Kendra and I went out for sushi. She told me to order something I knew I would like (teriyaki chicken) because she had a friend who spent $15 on fish that they didn't end up liking or eating. So I had my chicken (which was good) and a couple of her Hoosier and Boston rolls. I don't really know what was in them, but they were good. Their soup however was way worse than good ol' House of Tokyo's.
Dad and Kate both got to Oklahoma yesterday. I think the only people who won't be down there for Dad's side of the family will be me and one uncle. Stupid school.
Anyway, time for me to get some research down so that I can watch Private Practice and Project Runway guilt-free this evening. Maybe even do a little for fun writing since I'm muy behind on the drabble challenge.
Oh, and looking at my icon reminded me of some crappy news I heard yesterday. In January (if things stay the way they are), NBC will be pulling reruns of The Office and Scrubs off the air in order to air The Apprentice: Celebrity edition. Shoot me now. Stupid AMPTA and network heads.

1) Going with Kendra to Kinko's at 11:30pm to help her photocopy silverware and her face:
They guy who helped us was hilarious. Thanks to LJ for teaching me all too well what cropping means so that I could teach Kendra. And, selfishly, I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing someone tell me "You're so creative".
2) Trent drunk dialing work and commenting that he should ask me out. I told him if he did, I'd be sure to wear one of the Ohio State shirts he harasses me about.
3) Lunch with Jennifer. Only taking 3rd place because I forgot my wallet and felt guilty for making her pay. Next week is totally on me

Just some random things tonight...
My head has still been hurting on and off this week and I haven't been sleeping well. Grr to that. Hopefully tonight it will make a turn around.
Kendra to me tonight at work: "Sara, you're amazing... No really, you're amazing." I could only blush and shuffle my feet. I'm totally going to miss her when I leave.
I got my stuff to fill out my student teaching application today. I think I'll just put the majority of my requests for schools up near home and move back to Greenwood at the end of December. But just receiving the packet of papers ro fill out and return (in two weeks, no less) just gave me an automatic headache.
I got lucky with the dollar section at Target yesterday (which is currently selling Office stuff). My aunt and cousin saw all the stuff first on Saturday and got me a Dwight notepad. Yesterday I went back and got two each of an I heart Jim mug, Office-style word poetry magnets, and one magnetic board version of my notepad. The extras and board got mailed to my sister today. I'm seriously tempted to go back and get more. It's Office stuff for only a dollar, what could be greater? Only two weeks and one day till season 4!
It was actually kind of cold today. I wore long sleeves and felt the urge to have soup at lunch. Then driving to work I saw the temperature was a "frigid" 76 degrees. So pathetic. But still 20 degrees cooler than last Wednesday.
I love Wednesdays because I get to spend a couple of hours with Jennifer in the afternoon.
I hate Wednesdays because I'm gone for fourteen hours.
My best friend (well, one of them anyway) is home from Dallas and I get to see her on Saturday!
The new thread about the Archive in Resource at TF.N makes me want to submit a story. Maybe Resolutions, or possibly the fic Jessica and I are currently working on together, once she finds a break from dealing with her family's illnesses. I'm seriously about to go down there and hang a sign that says Quarantine on the door.
I colored FalconFan's new picture last night with a new technique. If only I hadn't screwed up half of the hairline...

-was gone for 14 hours

-lucked out into running into the cousin and her boy on campus today and got to spend the afternoon with them
-found a place where if Z or oqi ever came to B-town for lunch, that's where I'd take them; it's called Laughing Planet Cafe and they're big into organic and have a large veggie/vegan menu--fyi, their BBQ chicken quesodilla was freaking awesome
-got a better idea of what my literacy class is about
-talked to a couple of farmers
-had a discussion with the cousin on why we were glasses (me, because I woke up at 7:30 and didn't want to deal with contacts, she because she feels smarter with them on)
-had my new work dinner staple of a Lean Cuisine pizza
-didn't work on reading the three more chapters of history reading I have to do before class tomorrow
-heard that there are only two more episodes of Psych this season--sadness
-realized there's a sneak peek of Tim Gunn's new show on next--oh how I heart my Tim Gunn
