A few things for my fellow BSG fans (or those who sincerely should become BSG fans--which is everyone).
1) SciFi will be airing all the episodes (sans the mini-series) this week from 8am-6pm if you want to play catchup
2) In case you need to be filled in on what's going because you're new (or even if you're not new and just need a little refresher), here are the two executive producers talking about the show in a special that aired last Friday night:
3) And in case you need convinced that the show is awesome, here's the other special that aired Friday night. Sidenote: I seriously love Joel McHale. I would add Joss Whedon to that list, but I watched Serenity on Friday and I'm still kind of mad (ok, really mad) that he killed Wash.

It's 1am and I'm not tired even though I was up at 5:30 this morning for a thing downtown. I had my training today to be a substitute teacher for my home school system. It was tips on what to do in the classroom (which I don't really feel like I need) that went on longer than was supposed to because of the dreaded Mr. I-Have-To-Ask-Every-Question-That-Comes-T o-Mind. After 4.5 hours of it, I was about ready to sit on my hands for his own safety. It was seriously out of hand. "What if they have to go to the bathroom? Do I sign a pass? What does a real pass look like? How do I know it's not a fake? What do I do if it's a fake? What do I do if they wear something against dress code? When I get there, when will the principal show me around?" Seriously? It's called a handbook. Read it.
I sent off my first application for a real job over the weekend. That scary fact hasn't settled in yet. Just looked for some more openings. There's one high school biology position up around here, as well as two middle school science positions (one on the north side and one in the Greater Cincy area). So we'll see how that goes.
Easter was good, hope yours was too. Got to see my cousin's engagement ring, which is gorgeous. We continued our new tradition where the guest list is a mix of family members (mostly from my mom's side of the family) and church staff members. We used the youth ministry center to hold the shindig. Nothing like celebrating the resurrection of Jesus with a little March Madness on the big screen used to put up song lyrics for worship and borrowing the youth ministry's Play Station for some Guitar Hero action.
I watched a disc of Firefly episodes today, and my crush for Adam Baldwin increased all the more. The last episode I watched was the one with Jayne the Hero--hilarious. It's not the greatest show I've ever seen, but it is witty and does succeed in meshing the Old West with futuristic space stuff, so kudos on that.
Well, my hiccups have finally ceased. I guess I should try and get some sleep.

No school and no work on a Monday; it's been a while since that one happened. And it's been delightful. I actually got to watch Chuck live and saw Heroes for the first time in a while. Bonus of that was not having to watch it on the internet and feel really guilty for doing so with the WGA strike going on.
Oh, Chuck, I seriously love this show; even if I came up with tonight's plot with Rachel Bilson in my head last week. This show is easily my guilty pleasure, except I don't have to feel really guilty for watching it since it's good. How great was Marshall (yes I know that's not his real name)! So great that he had gadgets plus he got to do a little action this time and look cool doing it, something he didn't really get a chance to do on Alias. Can't wait to see next week to and watch the aftermath of Sarah lying through the truth serum. And while Morgan is hilarious, I must say that Casey steals the show for me every single time. It really makes me want to open up the Firefly DVDs I bought a few weeks ago and still haven't opened. But alas, I cannot...
...because I made my traditional end of the semester calendar tonight. And while it does look sweet with the awesome snowflake photoshop brushes I found, it will keep my busy with reminders of things I need to get done. Grr to homework, research, writing papers, and making stupid e-portfolios. If I were on Heroes I think I would want Hiro's power to stop time so that I can go off without feeling guilty and/or get all my work done while everything else is frozen so that I can relax and chill with everyone else.
